Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, motherhood, interior design and culture. Hope you have a nice stay!

What is Happening? Waiting for baby lemon.

Baby shower look.

Baby shower look.

As we stand I am 4 weeks from delivering our baby boy!

Due date: March 29th...I'm thinking baby comes March 27th.

Baby is the size of a: Papaya, 18 inches and 5.75lbs.

Exercise: I basically gave up on exercise once I found out I was pregnant. Could explain part of the weight gain. Chicago winter + easy excuse = no work outs.  The weather is warming up and my goal for next week is five 30 minute walks. I wrote it!

Stretch marks: I try not to look at my naked body! :-)

Swelling: My hands and feet have slight swelling, rings too tight to take off.

Maternity clothes: I live in leggings and sweatshirts or tights and a few maternity dresses all with my trusty uggs.

Belly button: Still an innie!

Sleep: In this 3rd trimester sleep has been very difficult for me. I wake up 3-4 times an evening to use the restroom and often cannot fall back asleep for an hour. Moving around to get comfortable is quite the work out (oh I am working out!) so once I need to change positions I am wide awake.

Food cravings: Citrus fruits, I have an orange or two every day!

Movement: Daily movement, but the movement is not as big as the baby has less room it appears.

Labor signs: I've had a few sharp pains that I think could be braxton hicks contractions. I really don't know what I'm looking to feel. I have general feeling of pressure of pelvic floor in the last week or so.

What I miss: Cute clothes! I had some extra time before Dr's appointment last week and roamed around Neiman Marcus. It had been so long since I looked at cute clothes, can't wait to lose the baby weight and reward myself with great clothing. Also, sushi! Oh and not feeling like a whale.

What I’m loving: Shopping for cute baby boy clothing!

Best moment this week: I volunteer once a week at dress for success, an a woman I was working with was so overcome with happiness she burst into tears thanking us for helping her with new attire for her first job back in the workplace in years. Was such a wonderful moment. Oh and the new trailer for Real Housewives of NY- all things bravo keep me going!

What I’m looking forward to: Finishing our condo renovation and moving in and setting up the nursery!
